I started my career by heading the graphic and textile design department in my mother’s Home Furnishings Export House and Factory. The company was one of top exporters of made-ups in India having clients like large European Departmental stores.
I pursued this diligently for 15 years till one day my curiosity filled daughter (age 3 years at that time) decided to play tug of war and pull out the writer and story teller hidden inside me.
I relented and graciously took up storytelling full time.
That is when I realized that the butterfly in me had being released from her cocoon.
I now write professionally and contribute to various newspapers, magazines and online publications. I am also proud to say that I write for a pan India Braille magazine.
I test different genres and write feature and lifestyle articles, reviews, travel, mythology and GK nuggets.
Additionally I conducts classes for children in Creative writing and Podcasting.
Being an ardent nature lover, I also conducts workshops on recycled crafts. Through these sessions, I converts old boxes, cartons and trash into something useful and aesthetic, encouraging children to be more mindful towards the environment.
I have an MBA and a Masters degree in Animation and Design, both from the US. I am also a qualified Steiner Education teacher, a certified Jolly Phonics and a Jolly Grammer teacher. Along with that I also hold many Creative Writing Diplomas.
When not writing or spending time with my family, I can be found gluttonously reading almost anything and everything I can lay my hands on.
